After the Metallica pinball machine made its debut in 2012, it became one of the most popular music pinball machines! It was about time, but the wait is over… it’s back… revised, improved and with a new design. Stern Pinball Metallica Remastered.

Packed with new music, characters, UV light effects and modern software.

The new Metallica Remastered is built on Stern’s modern Spike 2 electronics. The full-color LCD display features brand new animations and live concert video footage. The best thing for all Metallica fans – with 22 songs, there are now 8 more songs to hear than before. And there is expanded gameplay for all players.

Stern Pinball has ensured that special care and attention to detail has gone into Metallica Remastered, while respecting the timeless classic pinball game created by pinball legends John Borg and Lyman F. Sheats, Jr. The design team, once again led by John Borg and software developer Raymond Davidson, has created a modern take on the original masterpiece.

The playfield architecture was retained as the original model and expanded to include new figures. New RGB illuminated skulls were mounted on the slingshots and a metallic logo was mounted on the back of the playfield. Sparky and the hammer were also redesigned. Unique UV lighting effects were implemented across the entire playfield and also on Sparky.

The existing rules by Lyman Shets have been retained and carefully supplemented with two new game modes based on the two latest Metallica albums. There is also the “Blackend” Wizard Mode. The software also contains numerous improvements, such as control of the insert lighting.

With Spike 2 and the now integrated LCD screen, all video content and animations have been recreated. There are lots of sound effects, over 1,000 sayings, with call outs from the band, eight new songs, video material and live concert recordings.

The Expression Lighting system for the cabinet and speakers is standard on the Limited Edition and is available as an accessory upgrade for premium models.
